Fly-tipping Action Wales Research

In February 2013 Blue Marble carried out research on behalf of Fly-tipping Action Wales. The research measured the level of tolerance and the perception of fly-tipping in the Valleys Regional Park.

The research objectives were:

  • To explore perceptions of waste crime in the area, the level of fly-tipping and how it impacts on residents’ quality of life and on businesses, and measure how these have changed
  • To explore perceptions of visitor impressions of the area and how these have changed
  • To determine how views on responsibility for acting on fly-tipping have altered
  • To establish current levels of understanding of ‘duty of care’
  • To establish current levels of awareness of local waste facilities
  • To evaluate awareness of the Fly-tipping Action Wales campaigns
